Noteworthy/Achievement: Duquesne inducted McCown into its Office of Research Hall of Fame on May 31. McCown's research throughout his career focused on how people teach and learn in schools, universities, communities and other contexts. Lately, his work has focused on education inequalities, as well as educational opportunities in the context of civil rights.
Education: McCown earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Ph.D. in educational Psychology from the same.
