Health Experts: Dancing May Help Reduce Risk of Heart Disease

GREENSBORO—February is American Heart Month, but it’s also the month of all things love—and with Valetine’s Day around the corner, some say now is the perfect time to get in shape while having fun.

According to Psychology Today, shared fittness goals, like dancing, help strengthen a couple’s emotional bond. But there are also some pretty great health benefits. Experts with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute say dancing is one of the exercises that can help reduce the risk of heart or coronary artery disease.
