The show DR. LUCIANA ON AGING AND FALLING is in production, thanks to her collaboration with producer Del Weston.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2015
Hollywood producer Del Weston and psychologist Dr. Luciana Lagana have joined forces to create a new show aimed at the health, welfare and well being of older adults.
The show, DR. LUCIANA ON AGING AND FALLING, began production in mid January 2015 with Del Weston at the helm as director for the show. Weston, the creator of the Action On Film International Film Festival and of TV shows that have aired on SPIKE TV, NBC and ESPN, said, “Dr. Lagana is a pretty amazing person. Putting together a program like this could not be done without her talent and experience.”
The 30-minute show features professionals and guests who are all impacted and influenced by the subject of remaining productive and vibrant in later years, despite the perils that can accompany getting older.
Dr. Lagana, a clinical and experimental psychologist as well as a professor of psychology at California State University Northridge, said about the show, “Del must have really loved this topic in order to invite me to collaborate with him on something that you normally would not see on television. Aging is an important subject that affects every one of us. The format and purpose of the program is very exciting.”
Medical professionals, therapists, surgeons and guests of every age recount stories from their own personal lives on the topic of aging and falling, discussing the challenges that come with it. Dr. Lagana offers referrals and advice on some of the methods that are available to people who are affected by the topics covered on the show. She commented, “I am really excited to interview the world-renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Arash Taheri. He is in the United States from Australia to learn about robotic surgery for his patients who, up until now, could not use this innovative and technologically advanced method.”
Weston went on to say, “Dr. Lagana brought the show to my attention a couple of years ago; I’m so glad that her schedule allows for us to make it happen now.”
“Originally, our visions for the program were quite different; however, over time, we identified themes and elements that we both loved and that we believed older adults could truly benefit from,” Dr. Lagana concluded.
