Celebrating Family Network
North Shore School District 112, the Family Network and the Chicago School of Psychology are co-sponsoring a parent lecture and discussion series in celebration of Family Network’s 30th anniversary. The first program will be 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Highland Park Library. The topic is Parenting in the Digital Age: Supporting Child Development in a Time of Virtual Borders. Panelists representing a variety of professions will explore both the productive and dangerous aspects of technology with the context of family.
Panelists include Dr. Eitan Schwarz, psychiatrist and author of Kids, Parents and Technology; Sarah Migas, who has a master’s degree in social work and is an Internet safety specialist at the Illinois Attorney General High Tech Crimes Bureau; and John Petzke, chief technology officer at North Shore School District 112. Moderators will be Family Network Director Jordan Friedman and Kim Rubenstein of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
