A September 2015 wedding is being planned by Megan Deiger and Tim Hazen, both Chicagol.
The future bride is a daughter of Gary and Marilyn Deiger, Hermitage.
The prospective groom is a son of Alan and Darlene Hazen, Coral Springs, Fla.
Megan is a graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, and Pennsylvania State University, University Park, with dual bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology. She also holds a master’s degree and doctorate in social psychology from Loyola University, Chicago. She is a research professor at Loyola’s Chicago Center for Science and Math Education.
Her fiancé graduated from Coral Springs High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville. As he completes his doctorate, he is a political science instructor at Loyola and DePaul universities and Illinois Institute of Technology, all Chicago.
Both Megan and Tim are singer-songwriters and composers, who play together in the folk duo River Rising.
