Steven Szablewski, a resident of Bensalem and a student in the University of Pennsylvania Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program has been awarded the Annual Ralston Center Award for Gerontology Nursing Excellence.
Local residents, all doctor of pharmacy students, were among the newest members from University of the Sciences inducted into the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy Alpha Tau Chapter of the Rho Chi National Honor Society of Pharmacy. They are: Rachel Jonas from Hulmeville, Bryce Kleeman from Feasterville, Shibin Samuel from Bensalem, Chintan Shah from Warminster. The Rho Chi Honor Society is the national honor society in pharmacy that recognizes and encourages academic excellence.
Jacqueline Nehring from Bensalem, a Psychological and Social Science major at Penn State, was inducted into Pi Delta Chi, the University Park chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda.
Victoria Kramp, a graduate of Pennsbury High School, was inducted this spring into Alfred University’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society.

Sunaina Gohil, a biology major from Langhorne was inducted to the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society during the spring 2013 semester at Chestnut Hill College.
Gregory Kotchi, a criminal justice major from Fairless Hills was inducted into the Alpha Phi Sigma National Honor Society during the spring semester at Chestnut Hill College.
Kelsey Haugh, a molecular biology major from Feasterville was inducted into the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society at during the spring semester.

Lindsay Ward of Bensalem was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu national honor society at the University of Scranton.
Stephanie Dearden of Washington Crossing was inducted into Tau Upsilon Alpha, the national honor society for counseling and human services at The University of Scranton.
Area residents were inducted into Omega Beta Sigma, the women’s business honor society. They are: Sophomores Julianne Leist of Holland and Susan Pickup of Levittown.
Saint Joseph University Student Wins Accounting Award
Michael McBride of Holland, was named an Outstanding Senior by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Saint Joseph University.

Southampton resident Ashley Kanefsky, a vascular sonography student in the Department of Radiologic Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson School of Health Professions, won a $1,000 education grant to attend the annual 2013 Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) Conference.
Local Residents Inducted Into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society at University of the Sciences
The following local residents have been inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society at University of the Sciences: Grace John of Newtown, a doctor of pharmacy student; Annette Ladyzhensky of Southampton, a doctor of pharmacy student; Zil Patel of Bensalem, a doctor of pharmacy student; and Katlyn Spivak of Warminister, a doctor of pharmacy student.

Lauren Gifford, a resident of New Hope received the William B. Jaffe (1926) Art Award, given for exceptional achievement by an art major, marked by excellence in the study of art history, independent scholarship and interest in the work of the department.
News from Alvernia University
Local Students have been inducted into academic honor societies at Alvernia University. They are: Courtney Vinson, a resident of Bensalem, majoring in Community Counseling was inducted into Delta Epsilon Sigma Catholic Honor Society; Jacquelyn Strange, a resident of Newtown, a graduate of Council Rock High School North majoring in Special Education Pre K-8 was inducted into National Residence Hall Honorary; Jessica Glace, a resident of Morrisville, a graduate of Villa Joseph Marie High School majoring in Psychology was inducted into Psi Chi National Honor Society.
Cortnee Carr of Levittown, majoring in Special/Early Childhood Education, and a graduate of Harry S Truman High School was named a Student Ambassador at Alvernia University for the 2013-14 academic year.
News from La Salle University
Bucks County residents were named the top graduate in their programs at La Salle University. They are: Jessica Frost of Morrisville, the Graduate Education Program; Kevin Dugan of Morrisville, the M.S. in Computer Information Science program; Paul Blasé Szyszko of Bensalem, the Religion Department; Karen Potts of Southampton, the BSN-Achieve Program; Lisa Candela of Newtown, the Organizational Leadership Program; Nicholas Clift of Southampton, received the Victor Brooks Award as the top student in the College of Professional and Continuing Studies.
Joshua Masten of Feasterville was named an Outstanding Senior by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and La Salle University.
Ithaca College Honors New Hope Student Charles Edwards
Ithaca College’s Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences has honored New Hope student Charles Edwards with its Professional Excellence Award. Edwards graduated magna cum laude in May with a bachelor’s degree and dual majors in athletic training and clinical health studies.
