Blackburn psychology students show off original research at conference

GRADUATING psychology students showed their original research to 100 guests.

Students from the applied psychology course at Blackburn College covered topics which included the best way to get a full night’s sleep when you have a newborn baby, the links between Islamic dress and self-esteem, and parental perceptions of foster children.

The conference offered prospective students and visiting businesses the chance to ask new graduates about their studies.

Dr David McIlroy said: “Blackburn College has an enthusiastic, dedicated and capable group of psychology students. They have embraced and personalised psychology and applied it to a full range of real-life problems.”
