By now, Amanda Bynes is used to the company of psychologists and psychiatrists.
Which might explain why the troubled former child star has decided to transfer her study from fashion school in Los Angeles to the University of Southern California to major in psychology.
The actress is said to have taken a VIP tour of the campus on Wednesday after reportedly being kicked out of the Fashion Institute of Design Merchandising (FIDM) in October.

The She's The Man actress later confirmed the tour with a tweet that read: 'I took a USC campus tour yesterday it was sick! I plan on transferring from FIDM.'
And it didn't disappoint as the blonde later said gushed, 'The campus is sick!' having expressed her desire to seek out a new school in October when she tweeted: 'I'm transferring to NYU or Columbia from FIDM to study psychology, so you'll see me in New York if you live here but I HATE stalkers!'
Troubled: The troubled former child star, pictured here in November, was displaying strange behaviour when touring the campus, students said, including singing out loud and traveling in a gold buggy
Impressed: Amanda confirmed her tour on Twitter, saying that she found the campus to be 'sick'
Changing her life: Fresh from a psychiatric stint, Amanda boasted about dying her hair purple on Twitter in November
Study plans: Amanda expressed her wishes to transfer from FIDM to study psychology in October
Amanda is currently recovering from her latest stint in psychiatric care during October and November and despite reports that she was kicked out of her last school that month for weed use, Amanda's history hopefully will not hinder her chances of getting onto the course.
The website was told by the admissions department: 'The school does not hold mental illness against any applicant. If they're qualified and able to engage in studies, that's all that matters.'
The earliest she could be admitted next Fall after TMZ claimed that Amanda was kicked out of FIDM for drug use and misconduct.
Ongoing issue: The actress has struggled with psychological issues, which have included strange Twitter rants and informal accusations, since 2012
Puffed: Amanda has been using social media to document her downfall since rising to fame sharply
They considered source Rachel Loritz, a student at the school, who said: 'Amanda often ditched classes but even when she showed up, she was clearly high, and not good at hiding it she almost always wore sunglasses and laughed out loud at inappropriate times.'
After her recent misuse of Twitter, Amanda and her strange behaviour returned to the social media site in December with a bizarre declaration that she was Britney Spears.
On Tuesday, the embattled 28-year-old took avoided one of her long rants and instead, simply wrote: 'I'm Britney Spears.'

It is not clear from the tweet whether Amanda is aspiring to be like the Toxic singer - who is currently back on top - or whether she is accepting, like Britney, she too is having her struggles.
Now looking great and performing in a multimillion dollar show, the 33-year-old has come a long way since her infamous mental breakdown in 2007 that saw her shave her head, hospitalised and be placed under the conservatorship of her parents.
Still cryptic: It is not clear from the tweet whether the 28-year-old is aspiring to be like the Toxic singer - who is currently back on top - or whether she is accepting, like Britney, she too is having her struggles
Amanda has of course suffered her own breakdown over the last year, with her parents taking over as conservators and having her placed in involuntary metal health care before they stepped back after the Easy A actress accused her father of sexually molesting her.
During their respective meltdowns, crisis manager Sam Lufti has also played a role in their lives.
Sam was Britney's manager at the time of her mental health issues and accused by the star's parents of drugging her and taking control of her finances.

Amanda's parents Rick and Lynne meanwhile, reportedly reached out to Sam who then helped orchestrated getting the star back into California and under a involuntary psychiatric hold.
Amanda's latest Twitter post is one of just a handful the very active social media user has posted.
On December 6, she returned to Twitter after not been seen in public or tweeting in almost a month.
Keeping quiet: Amanda's latest Twitter post is one of just a handful the very active social media user has posted. This was posted December 10
Revelation: The day before the She's The Man star posted a rather introspective quote
In the photo, the troubled 28-year-old exposed her flat stomach and pierced belly wearing a colour block crop top ensemble while out shopping and included the note: 'I'm loving Boutique Jules!'
Then, on December 9, the star wrote on Twitter a rather introspective quote: 'If you aren't my friend at my worst then you aren't my friend at my best.'
A day later she continued: 'When ur madly in luv with somebody u'll do whatever they want [sic].'
Disappearing act: The troubled star was seen around Los Angeles late October and early last month, pictured November 6, but then was not heard from for some time
Prior to that, the star had kept silent for after a troubling audiotape - in which she claimed to have dreamt of murdering her parents - was released last month.
Although she later took to Twitter to clarify that she was only joking, those messages have been taken down.
'By the way - I was obviously joking about hurting my family - I straight up don't believe in harming a soul,' she initially tweeted hours after the report was posted on November 15.
'I said what I said in jest if you don't understand that then know I'm in therapy to talk about my dad issues and that will solve my concerns with ppl invading my private life,' she added.
The recorded rant surfaced as Amanda's parents moved to Texas to be closer to another daughter and their grandchildren.
Back on October 10, the Easy A star's erratic behaviour prompted her to be involuntarily committed for a second time.
But just weeks she was released from a psychiatric treatment facility in Pasadena, California and began engaging again in odd antics including falling asleep in the middle of a crowded mall.
The next scheduled conservatorship meeting for the former child star has been set for February 2015.
All they could do: Her parents Rick and Lynne Bynes have since retreated to their home in Texas, seen her heading to court on October 31, 2014
